VBKS COPYRIGHT NOTICE: All VBKS photos
can now
be used in home environment, for non-commercial use as screen
savers, computer wallpaper and even
redistributed freely via newsgroups without additional permission, as
long as you follow these three simple guidelines.
(Part
- 1) PERSONAL USE: VBKS photographs are NOT to be used for profit, there truly must be
no profit involved.
Example A: If you place our photography on your website and your
website in one way or another is used to promote sales, you are then
making money directly or indirectly from the use of our photographs,
thus you are in ©
Copyright violation.
Example B: If you use our photographs to decorate/beatify common
areas of a commercial establishment, you are in copyright violation.
However, this does not apply to our photographs that were purchased via
retail sales, only photos that you yourself published from our photos
without prior permission.
Example C: If you use of our photography for advertising,
postcards, business cards, mailings, letterheads, etc., and you do not
have written ©
Copyright permission then you are in serious copyright violation.

Copyright law sees each photo that has been misused as individual (C)
Copyright infringement? It's true. Each photograph carries a $25,000.00
fine per violation. Just 10 photos would will get you a quarter of a
million dollar fine. Since the government gets the money (and not the
photographer,) you must pay the fee or the courts will seize property to
pay off your fine. This is in addition to monies awarded by the court to
the licensed holder of the photograph or photographs in question.
This copyright notice for personal or commercial use does NOT
give you permission to sell our pictures on any level, whatsoever, and
it does NOT entitle you to ownership.
If VBKS challenges you for violating
this non-profit Copyright clause stated here, and VBKS finds out you are
in fact making money from VBKS photographs directly or indirectly, and you have not made prior
legal arrangements
with VBKS in writing, you will be challenged in a recognized sitting court of law, operating under
U.S. Copyright Laws and
adopted International Copyright Laws; and you will be held liable for all legal
fees
and all other related expenses, including all related travel fees in the
event you, the defendant,
are found guilty
under existing United States © Copyright laws.
At our discretion, VBKS may first offer you the option to pay our full stock
photography fee (times three) for each photo in question, based on the value of that
photo and how it was used rather than you having to pay the mandated
$25,000.00 fee for each photo, plus punitive damages.
(Part - 2)
PERSONAL USE:
You do NOT alter our photos in any way,
shape, form or fashion,
unless you have specific (written permission) from VBKS (in
advance) that is signed and delivered to you, via
U.S. postal mail service, NOT email. In simple; you must use all VBKS
pictures just the way they are. However, the size of the photo may be
enlarged or shrunk as much as you want. But in the event you shrink the
photo beyond the readability by the naked eye of VBKS's Copyright notice found on each
picture, you must place the same Copyright notice (© VirginiasBestKeptSecret.com
) or (© RoneyPhotography.com) next to each photo, that you will be using. You
do not have to link back to us, but that would be most kind of you for
the liberal use of our pictures.
COMMERCIAL USE: Commercial websites must pay our stock
photography fee which can be obtained at
RoneyPhotography.com as all VBKS photos are owned by Roney
Photography, LLC.
However, you may only use our photos which have been embossed for computer wallpaper or as a
screen savor in a commercial environment without permission as long as
the photos you are using already have our © Copyright on it at
all times.
You may not use our photographs in any fashion to create
commercial logos, banners, ads or promotional material of any kind
without paying our stock photography fee.
Optionally, you can pay a commercial license fee for general use of our pictures
for websites or promotional material. The fee does NOT grant you
ownership to any of our pictures or
the rights to redistribute them. For websites, there is a $125.00 fee each year for the first two pictures, $35.00 for
each additional picture beyond the first two paid pictures; a one time
flat fee is available.
Photos that are used as a theme on a commercial website is
a one time flat fee of $300.00 each, unless a mutually beneficial
arrangement has been agreed upon in writing.
Optionally $350.00 for each photo used for magazine covers,
directory covers, etc., where publication is less than 25,000 issues,
$500.00 when over 25,000. Please contact RoneyPhotography for complete
pricing, which includes post cards, calendars, business cards, etc., as
one price does NOT apply to all applications.

means, you can pretty much do anything with our photographs as
long as you stay within these simple, yet basic
guidelines. And
*ONLY* as long as all of the original
©Copyright information found on
each photograph remains
completely readable.

information, via your business phone number, and company name, so VBKS
can verify your current
working agency status.
(Note) We

for your legal defense.
We can legally bill you three
times our advertised rate and will do just that if we catch you as this
is far cheaper than court fees. On average we catch a half a dozen
violations a year.
