Smith Mountain Lake Alliance consists of a large chain of 'highly visible' visitor dot com websites for central Virginia. Each year our websites continue to go 'gold' in search engines for goods and services on hundreds of key search words and phrases for everything Smith Mountain Lake. Our websites receive as many as two hundred thousand plus hits in a single twenty-four hour period during peak season, with many of these hits from the local region and near by cities. Membership Has Its Privileges

Members have the option to exchange goods and services between members in exchange for another member's goods or services of equal or greater value. This is a tried and true method of businesses helping each other to grow.

Business members provide word of mouth referral service and testimonials and present s business card on the behalf of the alliance member being referred.

As an alliance member, your daytime phone number is programmed into member's cell phones for ease of contact.

Members in good standing are entitled to one FREE business listing with banner ad and optional link on the website of your choice own and operated by the SMLA. Full page ads in addition to banner advertising are eligible at 50% off normal online advertising fees to SMLA members only.

Membership Position Protection

Only one member per category is permitted. Only members who do not encroach upon other categories of a like or similar business are allowed to join. Slight overlaps in business models are dealt with on a case by case bases, and the soul discretion is given to the current business member in good standing.

Reward Program

Member with the most qualified referrals given at the end of the year, receives one full page advertising on three SMLA websites of their choice for a full year, along with three banner ads. A $595.00 value.

Runner-up receives full page advertising on one SMLA website of his or her choice for one full year free of charge, along with one banner ad. A $175.00 value.
